Wow! You kind of sound like me a bit (except the husband part!) My sister who lives with me and the rest of my family is expecting a baby boy pretty darn soon!! (she measures 36 weeks!!) I can hardly wait! I live in the Midwest so, if I save up over the summer, I can go to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival in Shakopee, MN! It's great fun and a VERY well constructed faire. If you ever get drug out to the Twin Cities during August or early September, and you can manage, GO TO IT!! hehe. There's also a few other faires out here, but not quite as grand as the MNRF. I am a newbie at sewing as well and my mom does the majority of my garb! (i DID help sew the cape, though!! hehe) I look forward to making noble garb w/in a few years here, money allowing (Lord knows, home decor fabric isn't cheap!). Anywho's. I've probably rambled for far too long! Good luck with all that comes your way (including baby!)
